S’ Stool:
The S’ Barstool was first created and designed back in October 2022 with many underlying issues. The vision behind this barstool is to keep the user more engaged with whatever is going on in front of them. Whether that be a conversation or work they are doing on their laptop. The solutions include more strength at the point of the curve at the bottom of the two aluminum legs. The “T” beam structure creates less spring back when sat in. There still is some springiness, but it will force the user’s body to be more engaged with whatever conversation is going on in front of them. The overall construction of this barstool is spent more on the wood components. The wood seat form is stack laminated with each piece at about one-inch thick. The wood grain travels front to back which makes the connection between each piece a long-grain to long-grain connection (the strongest type of joint in woodworking). There are sixteen pieces that make up the wood seat form. Everything will be sanded and finished with a clear satin polyurethane finish.
